No charges for Clinton after new emails reviewed — Federal Bureau of Investigation chief

FBI Director James Comey abruptly announced Sunday that Hillary Clinton should not face criminal charges related to newly discovered emails from her tenure at the State Department, lifting a cloud of uncertainty that has shadowed the final days of her presidential campaign.

In other words, the July recommendation by Comey that there was no basis for any criminal charges against the former Secretary of State stands.

"Since my letter, the FBI investigative team has been working around the clock to process and review a large volume of emails from a device obtained in connection with an unrelated criminal investigation", Comey wrote Sunday, in an official communication with 16 chairmen and ranking members of relevant House and Senate committees.

Chaffetz, who has promised years of congressional hearings on Clinton's email servers and other actions as the nation's top diplomat, said he received death threats after first posting about the October 28 Comey letter and has increased his security. "I am very grateful to the professionals at the Federal Bureau of Investigation for doing an extraordinary amount of high-quality work in a short period of time", Comey said, according to Reuters.

While the email issue was a constant on the campaign trail, it roared back into full focus on October 28, when Comey made a decision to notify Congress of the existence of newly found emails.

Clinton also planned to campaign alongside basketball superstar LeBron James in his home state of OH and appear in New Hampshire with Khizr Khan, the Gold Star father who delivered a stinging indictment of Trump at the Democratic convention.

"We are glad to see he has found - as we were confident he would - that he has confirmed the conclusions he reached in July and we're glad this matter is resolved", said Jennifer Palmieri, a spokeswoman for the Clinton campaign.

Hours later, Trump challenged the FBI's statement.

The buisness man and reality TV star questioned the legitimacy of the investigation.

"Right now she's being protected by a rigged system".

Margaret Mead said it best: "Never doubt that a group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has". "The reason that so many Americans have a problem with Hillary Clinton's honesty and trustworthiness and veracity does not change".
