Mauricio Pochettino praises Harry Kane's showing in Tottenham Hotspur training

Tottenham secured a share of the spoils against Arsenal in the north London derby on Sunday with Harry Kane scoring on his comeback from injury.

And even though TV replays clearly showed Laurent Koscielny missing the ball and kicking Mousa Dembele in the shin for the penalty award, Wenger had a different viewpoint.

Tottenham were boosted by the return of Kane but dealt a late blow when Dele Alli was ruled out because of injury, meaning a first Premier League appearance of the season for Wimmer.

Although Spurs prevented Arsenal going top with the 1-1 draw, they remain three points and a place behind their neighbors in fifth place.

Police kill suspect in Arizona officer's shooting death
Authorities say there's a standoff situation with the suspect linked to the fatal shooting of a Show Low police officer. He was reportedly barricaded in a cabin resort in the Pinetop-Lakeside area while officers negotiated with him.

Wenger reacted by sending on Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Olivier Giroud and Arsenal began to re-assert themselves, Iwobi's cross just eluding Granit Xhaka and Ramsey firing over.

Dembele was Spurs' stand-out player and hauled them back into the game by winning the penalty after driving into the Arsenal box from deep in characteristic fashion. "We worked hard to prepare the game and I am happy".

The Gunners took the lead shortly before half-time at The Emirates when Kevin Wimmer headed Mesut Ozil's cross past his own goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. "We created plenty of chances in risky situations", Wenger told the BBC.

'I'm ready if called upon by England, ' said Kane. We played a bit too nervously. We tried to put them in a better position to try and play more like wing-backs.

And Pochettino insists that he did not take a risk by throwing Kane straight back into his Tottenham line-up, as the England international's performances in training proved he was ready for a starting role.

"We always want to win these games", Wenger said. "That was not the basic problem".

"I don't know what will happen in the future, but I need to talk about it with the owners and Arsene Wenger".

"He was very lucky to stay on the pitch, of course", said Wenger. "It didn't look a deliberate foul or that he was [in a] risky position to score". "There were a few fouls, the elbow on Walcott for example".
