Rizzo, Posey, Lindor among Gold Glove winners

- The accolades don't stop coming in for the Chicago Cubs.

Rizzo was not the only Cubs player that took home a Gold Glove on Tuesday, as outfielder Jason Heyward won his fourth career award for his defensive acumen. Posey ended Yadier Molina's eight-year run as the National League's catcher and Panik beat out Jean Segura and 2014 victor DJ LeMahieu in a selection that came as a bit of a surprise since injuries limited Panik to 127 games.

This is the third year in a row for Heyward to win this prestigious award.

Ha ha haaaaaa, that one is still amusing to me.

"I'm a firm believer I'm the best center fielder in the game", Kiermaier said.

The struggle shoes caught it, too. "There are hits - illegal hits - that are missed in every game on a quarterback", Fisher said. I just can't keep accepting, "Oh we missed that one" or "I apologize for doing that" or "I didn't see it" - that's horsecrap.

Second baseman Joe Panik joined his double-play partner in topping voting for the Gold Glove.

It's the first time in 22 years that the Giants can boast of three Gold Glove winners in one season; Barry Bonds (outfield), Darren Lewis (outfield) and Matt Williams (third base) won in 1994. Texas third baseman Adrian Beltre claimed his fifth - the most among this year's winners.

Lindor seemed to make the most challenging plays look routine, whether he had to move to his right to corral a ball in the hole on the left side of the infield or whether he had to dive for a ball up the middle. Its the fourth time a Ranger has gotten the award for first base - Mark Teixeira won in 2005 and 2006, and Rafael Palmeiro won in 1999.

Freddy Galvis is one of the three finalists for the 2016 NL Gold Glove Award at shortstop.

In opposition-held eastern Aleppo , she said , shelling by Government forces and their allies is also reported to be continuing. Western governments had alleged that the strikes had been killing civilians in large numbers, an allegation Moscow denied.

For Perez, the award was expected.

"He's the quarterback on the field", general manager Bobby Evans said Tuesday. I don't think it should.

"Words can't describe how happy I am. And so the transition, that first step, might be a little bit tough here". "It's part of what makes him so good during the game".

The baseball rolls slowly up the third baseline, but like a flash of lightning, Nolan Arenado bare-hands the ball and throws a strike to first base, nipping the runner by half a step. The run didn't score.

The Cubs did recover, however, to beat the Indians 8-7 in 10 innings and capture their first title since 1908.
