Horry Scale: Jimmy Butler's jumper lifts Bulls past Nets

Calvin SaundersDec 30, 2016

With the game clock winding down and the game tied at 99-99, there's not many people in the National Basketball Association who you want to take the last shot over Jimmy Butler.

Not every win is going to be pretty, but this Bulls team will take them however they can get them.

Mass. lawmakers pass bill delaying sale of recreational marijuana
But at the same time, they have said they are keen to respect the will of the voters. The state hadn't had a great implementation of medical marijuana.

Today, "Jimmy Buckets" did just that as he drilled this step-back mid-range jumper to give the Bulls a 101-99 win over the Brooklyn Nets.

There is also no set timetable for when the Nets will be in position to win back-to-back games again this season.

Deutsche Bank agrees $7.2bn fine with USA government, shares rise
Credit Suisse , known more for its sprawling wealth management operations, will pay a smaller figure than Deutsche Bank . The bank will take a pretax charge of about $2 billion in addition to its existing reserves during the fourth quarter.

Nets general manager Sean Marks indicated that there was no set timetable for Lin's return this time around, but did indicate that the strain was not as severe as the initial one he suffered against Detroit here on November 2. Lopez drained a trio of 3-pointers in the first five minutes to help Brooklyn build a 15-7 advantage, but Chicago closed the quarter on a 16-5 run. Doug McDermott was the first teammate to reach Butler for a hug, then the rest of the Bulls arrived to dance him right off the court. He failed to score 20-plus points in consecutive games, which is highly untypical for Butler.

There wasn't much excitement in the third quarter, and the Bulls entered the dreaded fourth quarter down two. And they won another fourth quarter! "I've always admired Dwyane Wade and am eager to experience the game at the United Center", Flowers told the CBS affiliate in Chicago. He took over, said coach Fred Hoiberg. He was also sensational down the stretch when the Bulls climbed out of a 97-90 hole in the last three minutes. They caught a break when Randy Foye missed a pair at the line before Jimmy drew a foul on the other end, and knocked down both of his to cut the lead to two. Lopez even tied the game at 99 with a monstrous slam over his brother, Robin Lopez. They inbounded to Butler who dribbled near the top of the key before rising up, and burying a jumper as time expired to seal the win.

Sean Kilpatrick scored 18 points, Foye finished with a season-high 11 and Trevor Booker pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds for Brooklyn, which was still beaten on the boards by a whopping 55-38 margin.
