Russell Westbrook's Disdain For Kevin Durant On Full Display In Thunder-Warriors

Alyssa BaileyJan 21, 2017

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook will get a second crack at former running buddy Kevin Durant when his team visits the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. After heading into halftime tied, the Warriors led 66-63 midway through the third quarter.

Now one game past the halfway point, the Warriors are 36-6. Golden State committed 13 first-half turnovers and 18 total.

"No, I didn't see that until just now, but I don't play that game", Westbrook said postgame, explaining that he wasn't aware of Pachulia's response to the foul until seeing a replay later. "For most guys, you feel that little extra juice".

The Thunder fell to the Warriors, 121-100.

Mark-Viverito said , "When people think of what did he do for Puerto Rico, it's going to be that he freed Oscar". The pride that Lin-Manuel Miranda has for his heritage and even this country is truly inspiring.

"I don't know", Westbrook said of the play. "That's what they do". Durant, who made waves that rippled throughout the league when he left Oklahoma City over the summer to sign with Golden State, is thriving in his new home. Sensing the moment, the Warriors just kept feeding Durant, who just kept making shots.

Durant played a large part in both impressive percentages, hitting 13-of-16 from the field and five of his seven three-pointers.

There was more to it than that, Kerr insisted. The two exchanged words down the floor as Durant then called for the ball and hit a transition three. He and Thunder center Steven Adams got testy a few times during the first round of last year's playoffs.

"He's having a fantastic season, but it's kind of going under the radar".

The boat, named Nissin Maru, was spotted in the Antarctic sanctuary by a Sea Shepherd helicopter on Sunday morning. Mr Meyerson says authorities are not doing enough.

Durant said the Thunder are still very much a risky team that can not be taken lightly.

Afterward, Durant downplayed the role the opponent played in inspiring his big night. "Once the ball is tipped, you're just playing".

Davis, who started after suffering thumb and hip injuries in a loss at in on Monday, got another scare, missing much of the second quarter to have his left hand X-rayed. He stood over Westbrook while he was down, and he subsequently was assessed a flagrant-1 foul. After the game, Westbrook really let his emotions spill over, as he talked about the Pachulia incident. "I'm going to get his a** back. whenever that is, I don't know when it's going to be, but I don't play that game".

It's a amusing anecdote, but the full contact practices also could explain why Harden quickly became one of the NBA's best at drawing fouls and finishing through the contact. "Obviously, we turned the page, and when we face them, it's one of those games where the intensity is high".
