A group of project managers and artists called This Ain't Rock "n" Roll are collaborating on the project with the city of Brixton, along with Bowie's London and NY teams.

David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, after an 18-month battle with cancer. The planned location for the structure is Tunstall Road, opposite Brixton Underground station and just along from the Bowie mural created by artist Jimmy Cochran in 2013.

It just caused me a wreck of a New Year's Eve, and that's fine as long as they didn't ruin any body else's holiday, that's fine'.

A crowdfunding campaign to erect a permanent memorial to David Bowie has been launched by a team of south London designers. Pledge perks include a mention on the David Bowie Memorial web site, a "Great Brixton" photo book, a lightning bolt enamel pin, apparel, jewelry, artwork and more.

The page continues: "Unexplained yet utterly familiar; a poignant reminder that life does exist beyond the everyday. That music and art and curiosity are vital, positive contributors to our collective existence". Brixton, a district in London, is where the artist was born and lived until the age of 6, when his family headed to the suburbs.

Record-signing Pogba played in Ibrahimovic to coolly finish past Rovers keeper Jason Steele and fire United into the next round. The players knew it would be hard and they came with the right attitude.

Charlie Waterhouse, one of the artists behind the idea, says it's meant to be "startling, stupid and utterly joyous in equal measure". The project comes courtesy of This Ain't Rock "n" Roll, the same group previously responsible for the "Brixton Pound", Bowie-emblazoned currency developed to support local businesses.

Supporters hope to pay for the project by crowdfunding online and estimate the costs to be north of $1.23 million. It had raised close to £30,000 in its first 24 hours.
