Russians killed in helicopter crash in Istanbul

Two pilots, four foreign nationals and a Turkish citizen are reported to have been on board, RT reports. In addition, footage from a helicopter showed rows of rescue vehicles at the crash site.

"We are saddened with the news of the death of seven people, including the two pilots on board the helicopter", said a statement by Kugu Aviation, the company which operated the helicopter.

Vasip Sahin, the governor of Istanbul, said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
